2024 Scholarship Application
Guidelines

To be eligible for the Michelle Mitchell Scholarship Fund, applicants must meet all of the requirements.

Incomplete applications will not be considered for evaluation.

Applications must have authentic original signatures.

All graduation recipients are required to attend the Michelle Mitchell Scholarship Luncheon
-
All graduation recipients are required to write an essay and to read that essay at the MMSF luncheon

All graduation recipients must attend Service on the day the checks will be rewarded to them.
Requirements

Must be a prospective high school graduate in the year of application.

Must use funds for undergraduate studies or trade school.

Submit ALL documentation and copies of registration and bursars receipt from the school you will attend.

Completed application and supporting materials are due in to Gethsemane Baptist Church office by May 26, 2024 (4:00pm). If you prefer to submit your completed application and supporting materials via mail, the package must be postmarked by May 25, 2024. You can also email your application and supporting documents to mmsfundorg@gmail.com no later than May 26, 2024.
Application Summary (all materials must be submitted at one time)

All applications must be clearly printed in blue or black ink.

Every blank in the scholarship application must be completed. This includes a complete address and zip codes. If a particular portion of the application does not apply to the applicant, N/A should be placed on the blank.

All applications must include an official high school transcript.
Policies/Procedures

The committee will evaluate each applicant based on the guidelines adopted.

Scholarships will be awarded annually provided the funds are available.

Although considerations will be given to active members of Gethsemane Baptist Church
the Michelle Mitchell Scholarship Fund committee will also consider community graduates as well
